We wanted to get married in Turkey in the Olu Deniz area but we're too busy until this year. We had researched the paperwork required in England and in April took the plunge. We had birth certificates etc and obtained the notarised certificate of no impediment and had it stamped at the FCO office in Milton Keynes. At the same time we contacted a couple of wedding planners in Fethiya but they did not get back to us.
We were staying at the Carmina Hotel in Hisoranu for the second year. We contacted the hotel manager, Ferhat, who recommended Ali and put us in touch with him to explain what we were looking for at short notice. Ali was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Emails went back and forth all times of day and night and within three days he had put together a suitable package tailored to our wishes.
He had made all the arrangements for a private gulet wedding ceremony in Fethiya harbour followed by a sunset cruise, far exceeding our expectations. When Ali realised we were of a certain age he spared us the eighty steps to the top floor of the registry office by arranging the ceremony to take place on board. He had arranged everything including translations, wedding car, the gulet hire and photographer with an evening meal and a champagne toast.
On the day of our arrival in Olu Deniz, Ali and his wife took us to Fethiya to visit the doctor's surgery (a formality for the health certificates) and florist and his wife visited the government offices to translate documents and arrange the civil ceremony. The whole process was stress free and took no more than three hours because of Ali's organisation and attention to detail. We thank Ali and his wife for our perfect wedding.
It was everything we wanted it to be and more as we sailed off into the sunset to start our wedded life together. We would highly recommend Ali to any couple thinking of marrying in the Fethiya area. Ali, we cannot thank you enough
